EPW - Thomas Peake, 29 Denman Street, Golden Square, London, minute repeater, 55mm, massive 18K gold original demi-HC bearing London hallmarks for 1880 and 1881, casemaker's "A S" marking in rectangular cameo, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, SW-pin-set, fully capped lever escapement, at least 23J, gilt mvt, s#13028. Gross weight of assembled watch 117.4 dwt (182.5 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good repeat function and tone, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, gilt plates with some mild clouding in areas; dial with light hl below seconds-register near 6; excellent hands; case shows little wear, slight shallow dent to front outside 5, good overall engine turning detail though with reduction to shoulders; tight bow thinned at top, crown shows light wear; good primary glass crystal, demi-HC lid is missing its small crystal.
